Colleen Pate

Colleen Pate joins Boot Civil as Principal of Partnerships & Talent, bringing more than 17 years of public sector leadership and nonprofit management experience to the firm.

She most recently served as Chief of Staff to Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, where she guided policy strategy and operations across the mayor's office. Before that, she was Chief of Staff at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and spent nearly a decade at The Nature Conservancy in Texas leading philanthropy operations and a $250M capital campaign.

At Boot Civil, Colleen will drive business development through strategic partnerships with public agencies, prime firms, and private developers, while also shaping the firm's internal culture and recruiting strategy — with a focus on making Boot Civil a destination for top engineering talent, especially women and diverse leaders in the civil industry.
